You have more than enough NPC's for your world at your fingertips.Another great thing about this supplement is the new travelling and encounter tables in the back. You'll find updates to the travelling rules from your v2.5. These rules add more realism to your game and (in my opinion) make it much more fun overall. Do yourself a favor and purchase this book. If you play MYFAROG, this book is a must have!

This is a pretty standard Monster Manual, but I thought there could have been more pulled from Norse Mythology and from the real world animal kingdom of Northern Europe and the Arctic religions. My greatest surprise was the lack of stats for whales.

Great resource for a myth master especially on the go or when a player has my copy of the base book.

Never a let down from Varg

This is the largest MYFAROG supplement. I really like the larger font as it makes it easier to navigate compared to the corebook. If you don't play myfarog I would still recommend since the book is full of lore and detail. Very awesome monster manual.

I'm a big time gamer... my favorites include Donald Trump the board game, Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, and Caitlyn Jenner's Opreation... but lately this Swedish Metalhead guy has been pumping out garbage left and right... anywhoMYFAROG is the most boring board game ever.. more like BORED GAME! (LOL GET IT?) Anywho.. I suggest you spend your free time playing something productive such as Caitlyn Jenner's Operation which can help you with a future career in healthcare and transgender studies.

It's a niche book intended for people aministering a Linux network. It contains what you need to know to set up a network and keep it up.This is the third printed edition of this book. This has given time for the original work to be expanded and rewritten to satisfy the needs of readers who down through the years have sent in questions on various subjects.This book is based on the on-line Linux documentation but bound into a convenient book, cleaned up professional illustrations, better indexing. While it costs a bit, it is probably no more than the cost of the ink cartridge it would take to print it out.

I was very suspicious of this book, because I knew it was available online for download. I thought at first, why not just print it and read it. A friend of mine told me this is something completely different. And he was right. It was worth every penny (cent).The book is a great introduction to Linux networking theory and practices. Although it's lightweight in size, it makes it up with easy to read high quality content. I think even some experienced sysadmins might find a lot of interesting information inside.The guide is very well written, with nice and self explaining graphics.

This is an excellent book to start with if you are considering setting up a Linux network for your home or small office. The intended audience is assumed to have some basic programming skills and understands the priority of network security. If you have never written a make file or know what make is, you might want to start with a more fundamental book; you will struggle understanding the concepts of this book. If you have never used UNIX or Linux, you will be quickly LOST!It is important to realize that this book is a guide and not a reference. Each chapter covers a major system vital to the Linux operating system. Book(s) are written for each system, yet the author covers enough information to get you started and keep you from being dangerous.The book also indoctrinates you to the procedures and mindsets of Linux. If a specific tool is not covered in this book, you will know how to search for it, read the configuration man pages, build it, and install it.My background: Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer (20 years), C/C++, C#, Perl Literate. Converting from Win2K OS to Linux because of corporate directive. I have been a user of UNIX and Windows OS for 25 years, however, I never had to administer a network. I wanted to start up a Linux network at home to act as a Subversion server and a general file server.

I received the book this week, and truly I'm delighted with it. It's not a big book, and probably that's one of its main virtues: each chapter is very focused and manageable and, in a few hours (or minutes, depending on whom), matters can be applied with confidence. I liked especially those chapters concerning wireless networking and LDAP.As it's based on the LDP (Linux Documentation Project), the subjects are accessible there ([...] I'm one of those who still prefer an O'Reilly book :).

This is a good first book to purchase if you're getting into Linux Administration. It focuses more on common practices rather than configurations and how-to's. I have been experimenting with Linux since SUSE Version 7 but never really dug into networking. I retired so decided it was time to take on networking - DHCP, file sharing, etc so ordered this book. It was great help. Got me up and running. Was easy to understand, although I have 30 years IT experience so some background to learn from. Answered all my questions and helped me through the setup phase. This book will remain on the shelf next to the server as it is also a good reference book.

If you are like me and purchase manuals such as this, you buy it as a support tool and don't read it from cover to cover. That means it has to have a good index so you can find what you want quickly assuming you know the terminology for what you need to know, it has a good index. It covers a lot of information but those of us accustomed to previous versions will be a bit confused at first. So reading the first couple of chapters may be help for the seasoned Windows user, beyond that, check the indexIt also offers someone who may be new to Windows (which is possible though difficult to imagine in this day and age) guidance and I would recommend reading from cover to cover.

It's an ok book if you're new to computers or if you're upgrading from Windows 95 to Windows 8.1, if you have a basic idea on how to work around Microsoft OS then this book is more of the same, with that said this is the perfect book for that uncle that keeps calling you asking what did he do with some files or how do you turn off the annoying start screen.This is not a good book for a support person unless your users are super basic when it comes to using a computer.This book won't get you any closer to any Microsoft certification, is a basic user manual.

Wish I didn't need it, but Bill Gates keeps finding ways to make us buy stuff like this. Does what it says. No color pics and rather textbook-like,but it a fine reference book for those times when you just want to throw your Win 8.1 machine out the window.

I was highly skeptical about Windows 8.1 I got this book before the new computer. It told me exactly what I needed to know. I'm not a gamer or much of an app user so a lot of the book did not apply to me. But I recommend it as a good comprehensive tutorial of Windows 8.1 for anyone going to the new operating system. If you have XP consider upgrading as it will not be supported by Microsoft after April 2014.

I think all women should read this book especially before marriage. It could prevent a lifetime of abuse and unhappiness. If I had known the signs of emotional abuse in advance, I probably would've save myself from losing friends and alienating family.

Very informative! I needed to read this to realize what I am going through is real...I am not imagining it.

This is an excellent book for determining whether you've been emotionally abused. The author provides 125 different signs or tactics that an abuser uses. You can go through this list and determine confidently whether you have truly been abused or not. This book is a short read. You can probably get to through it in two hours or less.

Great book. Easy to read and understand. An eye opener on what some people do to control their partners and get what they want. Things you might not even notice. A lot more than I expected when I bought the book.

This book is very detailed and gives examples of emotional abuse which I found helpful. Appropriate for males and females, helpful in helping to figure out if something is truly wrong in your relationship!

It's hard to make since of crazy and because you can't it's what makes you crazy, feeling hurt, anxious, angry, confused and much more. How can your love and have the best of intentions to have it be turned against you in such a vile manner, how can you understand what you can't relate or identify with? This book helps you feel like it's real and not imagined. You can recognize similarities, you recognize the truth in what you read and wonder why you didn't see it before (because you couldn't, it was too hard to believe) but now your eyes are opened and you can't egnore the truth....for long.

This book is an eye opener, it helps you see emotional abuse for what it really is. It has defined emotional abuse as real destructive force the leads to hurt, pain, depression, loss of self worth, etc... it also clarifies if what you are facing is really abuse or a simple nothing. I recommend this book to married women and young women in a relationship or about to get into one.

Melissa Gregg works in the Department of Gender and Cultural Studies at the University of Sydney in Australia. She is the author of Cultural Studies’ Affective Voices.Gregory J. Seigworth is a professor in communication and theater at Millersville University in Pennsylvania.

As an outsider (several degrees, but none in psychology) I found this collection of essays brilliant and revelatory. It brought to mind several of the emotional quandaries I've had for many years, and provided clues to an answer. Without thinking about it much, I had assumed that "affect" was another word for "emotion," but affect turns out to be more basic. Here's a useful definition from p.316 (Lawrence Grossberg): "... I am not sure that emotions can simply be described as affect, even as configurations of affect. I have always held that emotion is the articulation of affect and ideology. Emotion is the ideological attempt to make sense of some affective productions.â€ The chapter "Cruel Optimism" by Lauren Berlant is especially brilliant, and the reader might want to start there. That said, the prose can be tough going for the non-specialist, e.g., "Preemption's logical regress from actual fact makes for a disjointedness between its legitimating discourse and the objective content of the present context, which its affirmations ostensibly reference." But the reward is worth the struggle.

Pure, unintelligible gibberish. So bad it's kind of funny (like a certain kind of horror movie). The various authors use the term "affect" to signify different concepts. It doesn't shine a very impressive light on Affect Theory.

The editors generously and transparently lay out their relationship to affect theory and to the making of this reader. There are a wide range of essays inside, so you can pick and choose what seems relevant or accessible to you for a given context. I appreciated having this in my collection.

I needed this book for a class, so I thought it would be a good purchase for my kindle fire and it is. The only problem I have is that there are no page numbers and therefore no way for me to cite this item. So if you are a student thinking to lighten your totebag load be warned this is not fornatted like a book so you can't cite it.
