As a home hobby baker it is simply too expensive for me to purchase commercial tubs of modeling chocolate. I've tried numerous recipes and had poor results. Using this book I successfully made my own Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, and White Chocolate modeling chocolate clay. I keep it double wrapped in a container and take it out as needed to make roses, leaves, and cut outs for cookies, cakes, and petit fours. The properly made White modeling chocolate colors beautifully. This was the answer to better decorating. Most importantly you can do so many of the same things you do with fondant, except this tastes and smells perfectly delicious. Great book. I posted photos of my first roses & fantasy flowers here.

I prefer to decorate in buttercream, but there are some things that just don't work with buttercream. Because I'm admittedly anti-fondant, I stumbled across the website for Wicked Goodies while searching for alternatives. There were so many great things on that site that I had to purchase this book about modeling chocolate. This book is filled with decorating ideas, amazing pictures, and instructions for using modeling chocolate. If you are a newbie to that medium, like I am, then this book is invaluable.

I have been decorating with fondant for a while now and wanted to start incorporating modeling chocolate in addition to fondant. This book has so much great information - from recipes, tutorials, and great pictures.If your looking into starting to decorate with modeling chocolate, this is the book for you.

I have used the techniques in this book many times over many years. I have learned to use the best types of chocolate as recommended in this book. I have learned to make excellent modeling chocolate and have made many cakes and figurines through the years. Kristen's writing and pictures are clear and concise. The taste of modeling chocolate is so wonderful as compared to fondant and gumpaste.

This book is an interesting read because no company yet makes modeling chocolate. It explains how to make and use modeling chocolate. Great find.

This book is a great reference for working with: modeling chocolate, chocolate "plastic" (plastique), candy clay. Tells you the difference and great text on the recipes as well as great ideas and instructions! It's fun to learn about and play with this edible play dough!

I really like ti the tutorials are awesome and gives a lot of great ideas, I would have appreciated if were also included the recipes for the different sponge cakes.

Great book! And great recipes and tips! Really look forward to try using the Modeling Chocolate instead of fondant.

Total Workday Control works extremely well on so many levels. I write to review two of them.First, the author's conceptual platform has brought order to the chaos of my busy practice. What do I HAVE TO DO today? How to prioritize the things I can realistic work on over the next two weeks? How do I track and manage the myriad of other challenges? Linenberger has compelling and workable answers to those questions.Second, receiving 200+ substantive emails a day prior to TWC resulted in a bloated in-box full of many land mines of embedded tasks. Stress levels spiked as the box (and deadlines) got larger and required more time to maintain. TWC provides an efficient method to drain that swamp each day, processing the Inbox to empty, placing to do items where they belong...both in Outlook and in my practice.Been following this system for 6 years.Bravo to the author for the excellent improvements in the 5th Edition. Each new edition has been a fantastic read.

I am a big fan of Michael's work. As a lawyer I am constantly under a barrage of emails and deadlines and MYN is the only system that handles urgency well. Now I am able to have clean inbox and a sensible Now tasks list instead to +100 projects list and +150 next actions list filled with unimportant, dead weight tasks with little value. For me GTD keeps you busy, MYN keeps me moving in the right direction.

This is a book that literally "changed my life." I know that sounds trite, or like a cliche, but it is absolutely true. If you are a "knowledge worker" who uses Microsoft Outlook, you should absolutely buy this book. I guarantee you will benefit from it.I first heard of Michael Linenberger when I came across his book The One Minute To-Do List: Quickly Get Your Chaos Completely Under Control in the bookstore. It turns out you can download a PDF of that book at the author's website (Google his name) for FREE. I suggest you check that out, which will introduce you to a simplified version of the system in Total Workday Control (TWC). Also, check out all the reviews for the earlier editions of Total Workday Control. You'll see I'm not the only one excited about this system. If it seems like useful information, buy this book.In Total Workday Control, you are introduced to the simple yet amazing To Do list management system the author came up with. Then he gets into the nitty gritty of using Outlook to get your email and To Do list organized. He literally takes you screen by screen and click by click through setting up both Email and Tasks to make sure you 1. Have a completely empty Inbox every day, and 2. Never let something you're supposed to do or want to do slip through the cracks again. I can't explain how good it feels to empty my Inbox every day. And I am on top of my work like never before. I know the tasks I have to do are on my list, and tasks I need to do in the future will show up on my list exactly when I need them to. All emails are responded to, and I'm working on the most critical tasks first. It's like magic.Like many others, I read and tried to implement Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity by David Allen, but found it lacking when it came to practical implementation. I also felt like I spent more time managing the time management system than actually working! The TWC system works synergistically with GTD, if that's what you're into. But if you've never read GTD, you won't be missing anything, because this is a stand alone system. And the strength of this book is in the implementation. You will know exactly what to do and how to do it. Every time I was reading and thought to myself, "That sounds good, but what about...?", my question was answered within a sentence or two. It was like he was reading my mind! That's because the author has "been there, done that" and knows what it's like in the real world. You'll swear this guy has been following you around, watching what you do all day, and then came up with solutions just for you.By the way, if you don't use Outlook, but are still interested in this amazing system, check out the author's website. He has solutions for you, too.Get this book. You'll be glad you did.

I have used Outlook for a very long time. I have followed the author for a number of years and I always learn something and improve on my system of organization in Outlook from his books. But I have to say, he has really outdone himself with this 4th Edition. I found myself fascinated with the depth of knowledge with the Outlook software. I have found over the years a number of nagging issues with the program, so it was a real bonus to have those issues addressed in this book. I read it cover-to-cover; did not want to miss a drop. Not only have I improved time management, but my knowledge of this fairly complex, and powerful piece of software has greatly improved. And believe me I have read a number of Outlook books over the years; nothing compares. Thank you Mr. Linenberger.

This book I bought on a whim while looking for something else entirely. Like many people, I know how to use Outlook well and have been for many years, but never have been taught a formal "process" for managing floods of emails and tasks. At the end of every day, my inbox is literally empty. And the anxiety of looking at overdue tasks in red and having to sift through a lot of tasks that aren't due for a number of weeks are things of the past.Don't even think twice- but this book. I am sure there are other systems out there that work just as well if not better. This book was highly recommended to me by my assistant editor. I eagerly awaited its arrival. I was SO disappointed by it. For one thing it's about 3 inches thick! The photos of the screens, that you really need to see, are of poor quality. I could barely see them. Should have been printed on glossy paper or some other way to see them better. The book is not easily searchable. I looked in the index for some basic questions, like "How do I make scrolling titles" and couldn't find it easily. It's just not laid out well and I don't need to carry around a ten pound book! Maybe it's good for younger eyes but wasn't for me. I switched from Final Cut 7 to premier and really wanted a companion book to help me over the learning curve but for $70, 1200 pages and lousy images and organization, I would rather just hire a tutor!

Excellent resource with all of the tips, tricks and explanations lacking in other publications. Definitely geared towards the advanced Premiere Pro editor looking to expand their knowledge of shortcuts, features, best practices, troubleshooting and efficient workflows.My one gripe is the quality of the paperback edition. It is printed on light weight paper that causes 3 issues: 1. The paper bunches up as if water damaged, and lends to the book having a wavy appearance and space in between sections of pages when sitting flat. It doesn't feel high quality like a book that stays flat and compressed down under it's own weight. 2. The pages are so thin I can read through to the text on the flip side, as well as see dark blocks of the images on the flip side. Somewhat distracting. 3. It's not perfect, but will keep you from getting too lost and packed with lots of wonderful touring information.As a driving map, it falls short in that some roads are unlabled. You need to have some basic common sense in navigation.As a tour guide, it offers lots of information in a succinct manner.As a dive guide, it also offers a lot, but perhaps too much. ALL the dive sites are marked, even to the point of the icons being overlapped. That's overkill.It also has information on the major hotels, restaurants, and other attractions.All 3 islands are included.Very well done overall.

I have several of the Franko maps. Like the others, this one is informative and fun to peruse. The map is packed with diving related information as well as major landmarks and tourist destinations.

Great book..very informative

This is a very nice and high quality chart!!On one side, a detailed and enlarged view of the 7 mile beach area with a good description of diving sites and land based diving outfits.One the other side, the general bird's eye view of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.These charts a semi water proof and beautifully decorated with fish and reef scenes.They really are suitable for framing....yes they are that nice.

Was a good read. Writing was a little light in a few places and a little over the top in others. Would recommend it.

It became fairly obvious that this was the author's first book and that it was written over many years and he had difficulty finishing the book. If editing and punctuation get in the way of your enjoyment of a book, then you might want to skip this. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am glad that Amazon promoted this book...otherwise, I would probably never have read it. The story line is fascinating and quite enjoyable with some excellent moral ideas exposed. While Santo (the dog) appears to be the hero, there are actually many heroes in this story. The plot is current with today's struggles regarding terrorists and migrants and puts an excellent perspective on what really matters. I would have a difficult time saying this is a "faith-based" book...I think anyone regardless of religious beliefs would enjoy this book.

What a totally uplifting story centered on the mysterious and wonderful relationship between dogs, mankind, and the invisible hand that seems to have made them for one another. This masterfully woven tale will have you turning page after page as you're compelled toward an ending you simultaneously don't want to come--because you've found lasting new friendships in Santos, Jesus, Pilar, Santiago, Mr. Big, and Matt. If current world events sometimes leave you feeling in despair, pick up this book and be reminded that life is short--but hope is still there.

This was a delightful read. True? Who knows but I like to hold it in my heart that a four legged unconditional loving dog was with our Lord when he suffering. I read this book slowly because I enjoyed it so much. They way it was written was so well put together. I looked forward to reading a little every night. "Santo" brought me comfort and definitely carried the light and love of Christ. This is NOT a book that cries Zealot rather it is a book about love, and that the story of Christ goes on and what a beautiful way to portray it in mans best friend.

I loved this story! It was well written and a fast read. If you are a Christian and animal lover, this book touches on both. As a Christian and a faithful follower of Christ, it was a breath of fresh air! I did enjoy it. This book made me think about my faith and how to dig deeper into it. Must read!

I guess a good book, to me, is one I wish didn't have to end and this one was that way. If this was a hardcover book, I'd be passing it around to my friends and family by now. ;)

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was twist to a story we've all heard before in Sunday School. Plus being a Dog Lover, I was attracted to this story, to mention, the dog on the cover is a spitting image of my dog. If you're looking for an easy, spiritual revival, this book will do that. As they say, Dog spelled backwards is God. That sums it up.
