The MM for NWM book had many great nuggets, but one super significant nugget for me: don't answer every notification on your phone like a trained seal. 😯 OMG WHAT??? A trained seal? Then I thought about how many apps do notifications with an alert sound every day... and we can't help but check it, right? WOW. I never looked at it that way. How many notifications really need our immediate attention? One can specify certain apps to push notifications to the status bar, but be silent. Or you can make the default sound in settings for all notifications to be Silent. (But still show in the Status Bar.) What a revelation, to answer notifications when you're actually available, not immediately as they come in. I never before thought about the consequences of being too connected, but I'd bet it does affect productivity a few minutes at a time. Anyone who is self-employed, whether in NWM or a brick-and-mortar business, should get this book.

I was not a morning person. Honestly all I wanted to do was sleep in. My husband tells me often, "A person can do anything for XX amount of time." Parts of your life start fitting into place like a puzzle and you wake up excited for the changes you are creating. It is like waking up on Christmas morning, but you are the present giver and making it all possible. Yes, there are pleasant surprises when the ball starts rolling on it's own. This book shares how others have accomplished this with their morning routines. I am glad to be able to reference back to what many top 1% percent earners do with their miracle mornings. This book helps you to understand the basics of making this opportunity the best it can be for each of us.
