As a layman since I was about 12 or 13 years old I have been an avid student of the life and work of Ellen White( for 47 years or so) and this book brings a new depth, as well as new behind the scenes insights, based on extant letters and manuscripts, of Ellen White and her family, household helpers and friends. Several stories and details I have not yet encountered are written in such a captivating style. It's a great read and reveals fresh new material and in several cases expands some well known stories about life at Sunnyside which makes them even more rich. This book most certainly is a confidence builder in God's hand and guidance in Ellen White life as God's messenger, loving mother, exemplary neighbor and friend during her "Australasian Years" life and ministry.
